Abstract submissions Close: Friday, 18 December 2024
The Organizing Committee invites submission of abstracts to be considered for presentation in the following formats:
* Oral platform (10 minutes)
* Poster
Authors are requested to indicate their preference but should note that the final decision lies with the Scientific Committee. All abstracts must be based on original research and present at least preliminary results. Please note these abstracts will not be published and we welcome abstracts that may have been presented or published elsewhere.
The iPTBS is committed to promoting people-centered language in all conference abstracts and presentations. When drafting your abstract, we request that you follow the guidelines in the Stop TB Partnership's publication: Words Matter - Suggested language and usage for tuberculosis communications.
Abstract Format
*Maximum of 300 words.
* One table or figure permitted
Kindly divide your abstract according to the following headings:
Research Abstract
Introduction: Research question
Methods: Study design explanation
Results: Summary of the relevant findings (preliminary results welcome)
Conclusions: Study impact/importance
Case Reports
Introduction, Case & Discussion
*Abstracts not conforming to this format will be returned.
*All abstracts must include a title, name/s of authors and affiliation/s
Acceptance
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, who reserve the right to accept and allocate abstracts for either poster or oral presentation. The Scientific Committee will follow the scoring rubric developed by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. All presenters of accepted abstracts must be registered as congress delegates. Early registration fees will apply.
Abstract acceptance will be notified to the corresponding author responsible for submitting and presenting the abstract no later than Monday, 17 January 2025
